Air Canada Potential Strike/Orderly Shutdown and MUG Potential Impacts: We are aware that currently as of Monday, September 9th, that Air Canada announced in a statement that both the airline and its low-cost subsidiary, Air Canada Rouge, are preparing for a possible “orderly shutdown” due to the potential pilot strike.
We realize the potential airline network cancellations could affect a number of our MUG Conference/Course Attendees. We currently plan to continue with the conference as scheduled, but will understand that some of our attendee's could be affected if the shutdown occurs. We are encouraging both our staff and all of our attendees to seek out possible flight changes to other operating airlines if possible. Feel free to reach out to us at conference@haverly.com and know that we are actively monitoring Air Canada's situation online at Air Canada labour negotiations and your travel.
